Dormitory Information:
Most likely everyone will be staying in either Morris-Pratt Dormitory or King Dormitory.
The rooms are all very spacious and recently renovated. They come equipped with drawers/closet, desk, chair and bed.
Linens are provided: 2 sheets, 4 towels, 1 pillowcase all of which will be handed out at check-in.
Keep in mind these are standard issue single occupancy dorm beds, firm mattresses nothing fancy. Bring a mattress pad if you are a delicate sleeper.
The dorms are not air-conditioned. Bringing a fan is recommended. If you cannot fit a fan into your luggage, purchasing one in amherst should be straight forward.
Showers and Bathrooms facilities are dorm style, divided for male and female but otherwise shared.
These facilities are cleaned by the college staff. Your rooms rooms are not.

Meal Hours:
Breakfast - 7:00am-8:30am
Lunch - 11:00am-1:00pm
Dinner - 5:15pm-6:30pm
The campus dining hall is well equipped with bountiful meal options. Vegetarian, Vegan and Meat-Eaters alike will all be well provided for.
You will be given your meal card at check-in.
There is a $5 charge for lost meal cards.
Campus Police:
When you are on campus and if there is an emergency,

Printing Services:
Bring a compact flash and load the images that you want to print onto it- Collective Copies ( walking distance from the studio) and they will print everything for you. We do not have access to the campus computer lab, but Collective copies has all the same services.
Collective copies will print out oversized images on their architectural printer for mounting on masontite ( Donato's technique), their machine can handle good quality paper, but it needs to be no heavier than basic printer paper card stock or 100lb watercolor paper.
The IMC will not have an oversize printer on site, but if you are feeling ambitious, please feel free to bring your own to keep in your room.
Digital painters /general supplies reminder:
art supplies are not included in the IMC program. The mediums you work in( either digital or traditional) fall under the category of "art supplies". You will need to bring a laptop,already loaded with the appropriate painting programs( corel painter or photoshop) and wacom if you would like to work digitally while you are here. *If you work in paint/traditionally, you will need to bring your own paints and paper etc..as well- those will not be provided on site.*
Shipping to and from Campus:
If you need to ship supplies prior to the class you can ship things to this Address-( make sure you have all the info on the address and your name somewhere too ,so that the college knows that it is for the IMC and It goes to the right dorm for storage).

For shipping things home on Sunday or Monday there a a few options:
You can use the fedex drop box at Collective copies ( which can accommodate shipping a 13x19 packed piece of art- I know this from EXPERIENCE!)
-they are open on Sundays till 3PM. Collective copies is walking distance from campus.
or There is the UPS store - about 1.5 miles- open on Mondays -Saturdays.
There is also the Amherst Post Office- in downtown Amherst.
.**We encourage you to try and ship you work and your supplies back yourselves via one of these methods- but we will offer you assistance in shipping if it is not possible***
If you have oversized boxes that will not fit in the drop box you can get pre- paid stickers for your boxes from UPS online or from the UPS store during the week then we with drop off a box there for you after classes end.You can talk IMC staff during the week if you need to use this option
